Programs at the John Anson Ford Theatres nurture Los Angeles County-based artists, arts organizations and audiences through programming initiatives designed to encourage participation in the arts.

Ford stage

Summer Series:

From May to October, the Ford partners with LA County arts organizations and producers to present a summer season of music, dance, theatre and film events in its 1200-seat outdoor amphitheatre. Groups and producers are selected through a competitive application process and receive front of house, production and marketing support.  Big World Fun

Music and dance events that represent the diverse cultural landscape of Southern California are presented on Saturday mornings in July and August in the outdoor amphitheatre. Performances are appropriate for children ages 4 to 12 and their families. Children are admitted free and adults pay $5.

JAM Sessions:

This free interactive series encourages Angelenos of all ages to release their inner artist by singing, dancing and playing music with the guidance of professional artists. JAM Sessions take place at the Ford and at public sites throughout Los Angeles County.

 Signature Series

Signature Series:

The Signature Series pairs world-renowned performers with LA County artists, creating a one-of-a-kind experience. Made possible through the generous support of LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl. Original program created with support by former LA County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky.
